Dear Conservancy members, friends, and supporters,

We hope you are enjoying the longer, warmer days as we welcome spring back to Washington Park. Please join us to kick off the Park’s new season at the Washington Park Conservancy’s Annual Meeting & Spring Social on Thursday, April 25 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Argus Hotel.  We are looking forward to this opportunity to welcome friends old and new, review the past year of Conservancy activities and share our plans for the 2024 season. RSVP HERE

Our monthly Park Clean-Ups begin tomorrow, led by our stalwart and tireless Clean-Up Crew. The 76th Tulip Festival is right around the corner, and the Conservancy’s ever-popular Tulip Dig and Sale will follow over the weekend of May 18-19. In the coming weeks we’ll be adding more Park events to our calendar.

Keep an eye out for our 2023 Annual Report, which is on the way via U.S. mail.  The report highlights the Conservancy’s recent and on-going work, including progress on the playground project, the fall cleaning of the Sailors and Soldiers monument, our investments in tree planting, and our partnership with City Gardener, Jena DiTonno, and her  DGS team to help the city plant several beds of tulips around the King Memorial Fountain.

For nearly 40 years, since our founding in 1985, the Washington Park Conservancy has been committed to advocating on behalf of the park and working with our city and state leadership to enhance the park and safeguard it through vigilant stewardship. The Conservancy’s work is made possible by the support of our community, and we thank you for your commitment to protecting this unique place. We are very grateful for the support of our contributors  and partners in 2023.

Please join us in our efforts by making your Conservancy membership contribution for 2024.   You can make a secure online donation HERE, or via mail with the reply envelope included in the annual report mailing, which you will be receiving shortly.

Thank you for joining us in our mission of preserving, protecting, and promoting Washington Park. We hope to see you at the Annual Meeting, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in Washington Park very soon!

With Kindest Regards,
Jeffrey Crumpton,  President
