Bleecker Park Copied from “Tercentenary of Albany” "Bleecker Park is a triangle sward, shaded by old elms in front of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, at Eagle Street and Madison Avenue." In 1835, the City appropriated $1,000.00, and citizens raised a fund to enclose it with an iron fence. William Fleming presented to this park the first public fountain ever erected in this City, which was dedicated in July 1863. |
